The purpose of this net is to provide information and training on emergency communications. This is a Directed Net. Please listen carefully to Net Control and Do Not transmit unless requested.The only exception is for Emergency Traffic.
All Amateur Radio Operators are welcome to check into this Net, you do not have to be a member of ARES to check in. I will ask for check ins in the following order. Any EC's, AEC's or LIAISON Stations First, then Greater Manchester ARES Members, then All other Stations.
(PAUSE) When checking into this Net, please say (this is) and drop your carrier, then give your call sign slowly and phonetically, your name, location, and with or without traffic. Once you have been acknowledged , I ask that you stay for the duration of this Net. If you must leave, please notify Net Control .
