Who we are..

Members are federally licensed, registered, and highly trained Amateur Radio emergency communicators with the Amateur Radio Emergency Service, a program of ARRL, the National Association for Amateur Radio.

A.R.E.S. provides emergency and disaster relief communications in direct support of various national, state and local agencies, including DHS, FEMA, National Weather Service, and selected disaster relief NGO's.

Some selected A.R.E.S. members are also WebEOC certified to assist further in communications with the local and state EOC.

A.R.E.S. is an New Hampshire ESF-2 Support Agency

Strafford County A.R.E.S. honorably serves the communities of Barrington, Dover, Durham, Farmington, Lee, Madbury, Middleton, Milton, New Durham, Rochester, Rollinsford, Somersworth, Strafford and Brookfield & Wakefield in Southern Carroll County.
